Use of the Website
Our website can be visited without disclosing personal details regarding identity such as your name, your e-mail address, address data or other personal details.
For improved customization of our website services to your needs we do not store your IP addresses when you access our website but replace it for twelve months with an md5 hash stating the date, time and page visited. The data are also evaluated for statistical purposes.
Use of a md5 hash (e.g.: C2E71B0A3C837E9F9AC39DB47EBCA6A6) instead of an IP address ensures that the number of visitors to a website can still be determined. Personal data such as the access provider, country or region or origin are thus no longer evaluable however, as these data are no longer stored.
For improved customization of our website services to your needs we store the IP address abbreviated to the last number stating the date, time and pages visited for a period of twelve months when you access our website. The data are also used for statistical purposes. The abbreviated IP address cannot be traced specifically to you on the basis of the stored data.
Where you opt to contact us or to order one of our website services such as subscribing to a newsletter or ordering information material to be mailed to you we need your personal details such as your e-mail or mailing address. Disclosure of your personal details is voluntary at all times and is at your discretion. We will only record and process the data necessary for fulfillment of the respective purpose. After the purpose has been fulfilled or at your request we will delete the personal data unless we are obligated to store them by law, for example, under tax law for the calculation of non-gratuitous services.
Your data will be stored exclusively on well-protected computer systems in Germany. Access to these systems/the data stored on them is only permitted to persons entrusted to use of the data within the scope of their original functions in the company and for whom password-protected authorization has been set up. Using adequate technical and organizational measures for data protection and for guaranteeing IT security we ensure that your information is treated confidentially at all times. Your personal data will not be disclosed to bodies other than those involved in handling your concern.
To the extent that we hired external service providers to process personal data (e.g. for mailing information material, for maintenance purposes or for destruction of data carriers), the hiring will comply with the data protection regulations and it will be ensured that the service providers only use the entrusted data in accordance with our contractually agreed instructions and we are conceded a right to monitor the technical and organizational measures to be complied with by the contractor.
Transmission of Personal Data to Third Parties
Your personal data will only be recorded, stored or processed internally by Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH and by external service providers contractually bound by the applicable data protection regulations as a contract data processor.
We will disclose your data to any bodies authorized to receive information to the extent that we are obligated by law or by court order to do so or for the prosecution of an offense.
